Avril Lavigne with Very Dark and Heavy Black Evening Eye Make-Up

April Lavigne has very dark eyes for an extreme night makeup look. It's so extreme, in fact, you might need to take a second look to recognize her.

Although there is some symmetry to the makeup artist's work--it's as heavy below her eyes as it is above--it's so thick it's beyond the dreaded "racoon eyes."

Wisely she kept her lip color virtually 100% natural, choosing a clear lip gloss; otherwise she'd really look far out, like a very scary clown.

Many teen girls wouldn't dare be seen in public looking like this, let alone go to prom wearing eye makeup this heavy. But it's a fun rebellious look, almost Goth-like, and definitely "alternative," if that's something you want.

You have to wonder, though, if some schools would even let you go to prom with this make-up look. (If you showed up at work looking like this, some companies would send you home.) So print out the picture and ask your teacher. :)
