| Here's
a funky updo style you've probably never
seen before (and may never see again) on
the red carpet. It looks like something
you might see in a Star Wars
movie. It's just a little bit science-fictional. The
chignon is classical; it has lovely
twisting thick sections of hair. The
white hair net that keeps it together isn't
so common but it looks okay. But the
tightly braided "handle bars"
just above Gwen Stefani's forehead and
hairline are quite unique.
There's nothing
wrong with trying something different,
and some people actually want non-traditional
updos, but it's a good idea to follow a
few hair design principles so your new 'do
is flattering.
The problem with
this hair look is it makes Gwen's
forehead look much bigger. The heart
shape is alright, but it's just a bit
large. Mostly when we see celebs wear
updos with braids, the braids are at the
back, not on the top.
