Prom HairstylesThe best prom hairstyles you can usually find online are formal celebrity hair styles. Most girls want the latest looks (since prom last year); you can download 50 of them at 2010 Prom Hairstyles The pictures below on this page are from 2009; you may notice they look very similar to the 2010 formal hairstyles. How are other girls wearing their hair this year on special occasions? Below are some examples--mostly from April. There are no obvious new trends, but these young women's formal hairstyles still look gorgeous.
Shandi Finnessey wearing her hair down with classic modern glamour curls.
Serena Williams with nice new curly black updo plus loose pieces on sides.
Zoe Saldana
Miley Cyrus with big bushy side bun set at the top of her shoulder.
Audrina Patridge (full side chignon at Grammy Awards)
Tied to the side makes her bun look cuter than if it was in the classic position at the back in the center.
Audrina's curly side half updo. How's that for elegant and charming? This was ten days after the previous set of pictures.

Zoe Salmon
Vanessa Branch with long golden red hair worn down. It's layered and gorgeous!
Laura Vandervoort
Rihanna's crop is cool but when your hair is very short you have limited formal hair options. However, you can still do a lot with makeup and it will stand out more because your face is emphasized.
Shenae Grimes (19) from 90210 has a simple half updo with some brown highlights in her dark hair.
Taylor Swift at the 51st Annual Grammys. Need a cute half-up prom hairdo? This sweet one has Taylor's trademark curls and some charming, elegant loose pieces. Those are always popular for prom but this design looks better than average. Her hair actually looked a lot bigger from the front, but you can adjust the size fairly easily depending on how much drama you prefer.
Drew Barrymore in flapper girl hairstyle with 1930s waves. Plus fancy veil! The retro style is fine enough--note the asymmetry of one side heavier--but the veil seems out of place. Earlier this year Drew also had vintage-inspired ideas when she dressed up like Marilyn Monroe. For this one she went back another 30 years or more. Without the veil this looks okay for a retro-themed prom.
